Dear Colleagues,

In August 2026, the EMOK community will gather in Mád, where the Institute of Marketing and Commerce of the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Debrecen will host the 32nd International Conference. Building on the decades-long tradition of this conference series, our aim once again is to provide a forum for Hungarian and international scholars and educators in marketing to engage in shared thinking, dialogue, and professional inspiration.

Marketing science is continuously evolving: technological advancement, social and economic transformation, and growing expectations regarding sustainability and ethics are creating new challenges as well as new opportunities. The convergence of physical and digital spaces, the rise of data-driven decision-making, increasing demand for responsible corporate practices, and the transformation of consumer roles are all phenomena that prompt a reconsideration of both the theoretical and practical frameworks of marketing.

In the spirit of “Marketing Science Shaped Together,” we invite presentations that enrich academic and educational discourse in marketing, offer new perspectives, and reflect on current issues and future directions of the field.

We welcome submissions primarily — though not exclusively — in the following areas:

  • Consumer behavior and social science approaches
  • Sustainability and economic interrelations in marketing
  • Digital transformation and data science in marketing
  • Communication theory and media effects in marketing
  • Research methodologies and modeling in marketing
  • Strategic decision-making in marketing management
  • Technological innovations and artificial intelligence in marketing
  • Ethical challenges and corporate social responsibility in marketing
  • Intercultural marketing and global strategies
  • Scientific approaches to branding and visual communication
  • Nonprofit marketing and social value creation
  • Innovation in B2B marketing
  • Cultural and tourism marketing
  • Agricultural and food marketing

In addition to plenary and parallel session presentations, this year’s conference will once again host the EMOK Teaching Methodology Workshop, where best practices from the EMOK Innovative Marketing Course Competition will also be presented.

Participants will also have the opportunity to organize their own workshop (special workshop) or dedicated session (special track). This allows research groups to present their results in a focused format and to foster professional collaboration.

On the “Day Zero” of the conference, August 24, 2026, we will organize a PhD Forum, providing doctoral students with the opportunity to present their research and build professional networks. We welcome both presentations from PhD candidates with advanced research results and brief introductory presentations from those at the beginning of their doctoral studies.

The first official day of the conference will feature traditional parallel sessions, while the second day will focus on workshops, encouraging interactive and in-depth professional exchange.

Mád, one of the defining settlements of the Tokaj wine region, offers a unique professional and community experience for participants. Its historic and natural surroundings provide an inspiring backdrop for shared thinking and scholarly dialogue.

We trust that, continuing the high-quality professional discussions of previous years, we will also create a meaningful, forward-looking, and inspiring conference together in 2026.

We warmly welcome you to Mád!
