The supervisor of the dissertation is Tibor Tatay.

The Cursus vitae aureus (Golden Career) Award, established by the Economic Sciences Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA), was presented this year to Ágnes Hofmeister-Tóth. The award ceremony took place on November 14, 2024, at the Panorama Hall of the Gellért Campus of Corvinus University of Budapest, during a joint conference organized by the Economic Sciences Committee and the Institute of Data Analysis and Informatics at Corvinus University.

The supervisors of the dissertation are Anna Irimiás and Ivett Pinke-Sziva.

The public defense of Bence Csapody's doctoral dissertation entitled "UNDERSTANDING LOCALITY THROUGH RESTAURANT AND FOOD FESTIVAL OPERATIONS" will take place on November 26, 2024 at the Doctoral School of Business and Management of the Corvinus University of Budapest. The supervisors of the dissertation are Melinda Jászberényi and Katalin Ásványi.

The public defense of Zalán Márk Maró's doctoral dissertation entitled "What is inside the bottle? - a comprehensive analysis of the supply and demand side of the Hungarian pálinka sector" will take place on November 6, 2024 at the Doctoral School of Business and Management of the Corvinus University of Budapest. The supervisor of the dissertation is Áron Török.

The Faculty of Economics at the University of Pécs will host the 9th Interdisciplinary Symposium on Consumption titled "We Live in Space" on November 14, 2024. The event will take place in person at the Dr. József Halasy-Nagy Hall at the Faculty, but participants may also join online by registering in advance.

The public defense of Zsuzsanna Kun's doctoral dissertation entitled "FROM "NO WAY" TO "EVERY DAY" How Liminal Phase Shapes Medication Adherence in Chronic Disease" will take place on November 6, 2024 at the Doctoral School of Business and Management of the Corvinus University of Budapest. The supervisor of the dissertation is Judit Simon.

The International Association of Public and Nonpofit Marketing (AIMPN/IAPNM), in collaboration with the National University of San Agustín de Arequipa (Peru) and the University of Oviedo (Spain), organize the XVI International Congress of Teaching Cases in Public and Nonprofit Marketing, which, under the motto “Building Bridges of Knowledge” will take place in hybrid mode (in-person and online) on December 13th and 14th, 2024.
