Abstract
Future/Education: Future in education – Education in future
What values can be used to develop higher education and prepare the (economic-marketing) elite of the future by involving and sensitising society (stakeholders) as a whole? Whose responsibility is it to ensure the quality of education? How can a university (or an educational institution or organisation) support teachers in creating and successfully applying non-traditional teaching situations? The presentation aims to discuss these main questions and initiate joint thinking with those present. The result is a rethinking of teaching roles to meet the needs of the 21st century and an exploration of the phenomenon of university citizenship. During the interactive presentation and discussion, the following main topics will be discussed and presented:
1. (re)defining the role of the teacher: exploring the phenomenon of the teacher as a role model, opinion leader, and influencer;
2. understanding the student-teacher relationship in the H2H (Human to Human) framework through the methodology of designcommunication;
3. the importance of the dimensions of critical pedagogy and transformative education in higher education and the training of the future elite;
4. the role of the university in building educators’ "brands";
5. finally, to redefine, frame, conceptualise and explore the notion of university citizenship in depth.
