Abstract

Examination of some social and food waste (consumption) decisions during the epidemic period and in the shadow of today's economic crisis 2.

The Covid-19 pandemic and today's energy crisis shook the whole world and put health care and society in an extraordinary situation, and it took an extraordinary toll on the individual as well. Taking all of this into account, customer behavior is undergoing a transformation in our century, since carefully planned marketing activities and a prudent approach are in vain if an unforeseen pandemic or the Russian-Ukrainian war that broke out in 2022 pulls through all the previously planned and carefully constructed production processes. Today's economic crisis and the uncertainty experienced worldwide have changed people's thinking and needs. Because of all this, it is important to map what people think about the present and what they envision for the near future. Reflecting the opinions of nearly 700 respondents, this study reveals the relationships that have changed or may have changed during the epidemic period and as a result of the energy crisis with regard to some communityand food waste decisions. The study is a review that serves as the basis for an international publication.
