Abstract

Study on consumption patterns of sports supplements

With the rise of bodybuilding and gyms, more and more people are trying different sport supplements. In my research, I investigate different aspects of the effects of the rise of dietary supplements on consumers. In addition to the growing assortment and variety of products on the shelves in this dynamic market, we are also looking at what motivates consumers to choose particular supplements. Consumers do not have it easy, with an ever-increasing range of products to choose from. But what motivates consumers in their choice of products? From what perspective do consumers and distributors view the products they buy and sell? What influence do manufacturers have on consumers? What marketing tools do they use to increase sales? In addition to these questions, I also seek the views of experts on what they see in the market and the limits of regulation and its appropriateness. I will use qualitative and quantitative research tools to explore the motivations of consumers’ consumption patterns, the experiences of manufacturers and public authorities.
