The "traditional" EMOK PhD Forum will take place again this summer. For those of you who - quite rightly - have already put the date in your diary, the following few details about the event may be of interest:
- Date: 26.08.2024 (Monday): 10:30-24:00
- Location: Fordan Center, 7622 Pécs, Bajcsy-Zsilinszky u. 16.
This is a billiards venue and it's going to be fun! - Programme:

- PhD Workshop 1 (Junior student introductions)
PPT not required, 5 min/person, the aim is to get to know you and your research topic - 12.30-13.30
- Lunch (Pécsi Vásárcsarnok - Pécs Fair Hall)
- 13.30-15.00
- PhD Workshop 2 (Master student presentations)
15 min/person, presentation of the main research topic/dissertation draft (with PPT) - 15.00-15.10

During the day (15:10-16:40), the Forum feature a presentation by Justin Paul, who will talk to you about career opportunities in research and systematic literary review.
The Professor is a successfully publishing researcher who can provide useful help to interested PhD students, and not least he is the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Consumer Studies (IJCS; SJR Q1). For more information about him: https://www.linkedin.com/in/profjust/
To participate in the PhD Forum, you do NOT need to submit a paper
- Those who have already submitted a paper to the PhD session and have been accepted, are asked to submit their paper, their paper will be published in the conference proceedings
- Those who have not submitted a paper for the PhD section (or have submitted a paper for another section of the EMOK conference) do not need to submit a paper, just prepare for the PhD Junior or PhD Master section by presenting a paper as described above
Registration:
- When registering for the EMOK conference, please select the category "I am registering for the Doctoral Forum" in the "Registration Form" menu and write in the "Comments" field below whether you are registering for the PhD Junior or PhD Master session.
- Participation in the PhD Forum is FREE of charge for PhD students from EMOK's partner institutions (BCE, PTE, SZTE, DE, etc.) - for students from other institutions the participation fee is 10.000 HUF
Accommodation:
It will be possible to request accommodation at the Forum venue, which we are unable to cover, it is paid by the participant. However, we will arrange the reservation and room allocation based on the needs of the individual. After the registration period, we will contact you in the first half of June to ascertain your accommodation requests.
