Abstract

Digital ageism: conceptual frameworks and research opportunities

Digital ageism is discrimination against older people that occurs in relation to digital technologies. The study is an extended abstract that lays the foundations for further research. Research on digital ageism has typically appeared in the fields of communication, gerontology and information technology in the past few years. This study outlines research opportunities from the perspective of marketing science, including transformative service research.
