The EMOK Autumn Research Methodology Workshop on Eye-tracking and Other Neuromarketing Solutions in Marketing Research was held on 22 November 2024. This time the workshop was held in an interactive format, hosted by the Faculty of Economics of ELTE.

The public defense of Ghayth Ali Al Laheebi's doctoral dissertation entitled "IMPROVING BUSINESS PERFORMANCE OF SMES THROUGH DIGITAL MARKETING ORIENTATION AND SERVICE QUALITY WITH THE MEDIATION EFFECTS OF COMPETI-TIVE ADVANTAGE: EVIDENCE FROM IRAQ" will take place on January 7, 2025 at the Hantos Elemér Doctoral School of Business, Management and Regional Sciences of the University of Miskolc. The supervisor of the dissertation is László Molnár.

The public defense of Dirk-Siegfried Hübner's doctoral dissertation entitled "ENTWICKLUNG UND ETABLIERUNG EINER NACHHALTIGKEITSZERTIFIZIERUNG FÜR UNTERNEHMEN – AM BEISPIEL VON DEUTSCHEN BÄCKEREIEN" will take place on March 3, 2025 at the Doctoral School of Economic and Regional Sciences of the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Gödöllő. The supervisors of the dissertation are Gergely Tóth and Bernadett Horváthné Kovács.

On November 14, 2024, the Economic Sciences Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Section IX, awarded the Department of Management and Business Economics at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) the "Jubilating Scholarly Department 2024" recognition. This year, the Department of Management and Business Economics is celebrating its 75th anniversary.

From the virtual trees planted in the game at the 2024 EMOK Conference, a real forest has now been born. 🌳 On November 23, 2024, the colleagues of the Department of Marketing and Tourism at the University of Pécs planted 150 saplings in Somogytarnóca, thus fulfilling their promise.

The public defense of Stoyke Thomas's doctoral dissertation entitled "ANALYSING VALUE-ADDING FACTORS INFLUENCING THE FUTURE VIABILITY OF SHOPPING CENTERS" will take place on November 29, 2024 at the Doctoral School of Economic and Regional Sciences of the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Gödöllő. The supervisor of the dissertation is Tibor Tatay.

The Cursus vitae aureus (Golden Career) Award, established by the Economic Sciences Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA), was presented this year to Ágnes Hofmeister-Tóth. The award ceremony took place on November 14, 2024, at the Panorama Hall of the Gellért Campus of Corvinus University of Budapest, during a joint conference organized by the Economic Sciences Committee and the Institute of Data Analysis and Informatics at Corvinus University.

MTA Section IX., Committee on Business Administration, Subcommittee on Industrial and Business Economics, Subcommittee on Marketing Science, and Subcommittee on Management and Organizational Sciences annually award prizes for outstanding scientific work. The Subcommittees aim to recognize and encourage high-quality publication work by academic colleagues through the Publication Excellence Awards.
